When it’s time to escape the ordinary and in favor of lunch or dinner with an international flair, naysayers complain the Conroe area is a culinary wasteland. To them, I offer Wild Ginger Japanese Steakhouse. The recently opened restaurant offers a pleasing atmosphere, complete with water features, and an elegant setting for those who enjoy something more than a gulp and go dining experience. Rich dark woods, stone and tile are combined to offer a comfortable restaurant setting with more than a hint of a Far East influence. There are touches of Japanese and Asian décor, but the walls are not cluttered with bric-a-brac or memorabilia – it’s a simple, elegant look.
